This policy covers the smartbmsutility.com website. The SmartBMS Utility app has its own in-app privacy policy, since the app processes battery data locally on your device rather than through this website.

We collect as little personal data as reasonably possible to run this site, answer your enquiries, and — if you opt in — send you occasional product updates.

Contact form: the name, email address, subject, and message you submit are sent to our support inbox via our form processor, Web3Forms, solely to respond to your enquiry.

Newsletter: if you subscribe, your email address is stored by our email service provider, Brevo, so we can send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

Standard technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider's server logs may record IP address, browser type, and access times for security and operational purposes.

Processing relies on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for the contact form and newsletter, and our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating a secure, functioning website.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing contact@smart-bms.de, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Web3Forms (contact form submissions) and Brevo (newsletter delivery) process data on our behalf as described above. Neither is used for advertising or resold to third parties.
